About Me

Hi friends! My name is Azam and I am the creator, designer and artist behind Thread and Thyme.  I have always been passionate with my creativity ever since I was young - from building miniature towns out of boxes or anything I could find around the house to drawing elaborate portraits and scenery. 

After many years in the eye industry as a full-time optician, I didn't really have the time to be creative.  I fell back into it in late 2018 after practicing with fiber art and discovering all the possibilities and potential that could be created.  What began as a hobby, blossomed into opening my own business and eventually led me to immerse myself fully after leaving my career.

Fiber art has given me the opportunity to bring my visions to life and express my love for nature.  It is such a blessing and honor to be able to share this love with the world and to have people equally love and appreciate what I do to place these pieces in their homes and businesses.  I have created thousands of pieces since 2018 that have gone all around the world and am thankful everyday to have been given this opportunity.
